Experienced Maths Tutor in London
I am currently a student at King's College London Mathematics School. I have had a lot of experience in teaching mathematics at GCSE / AS to private students as well as small groups. As a tutor, I think it is very important to explain: Why maths concepts work the way they do, rather than just learning 'facts', as this provides both, a more thorough understanding of the subject and additional skills to tackle harder problems. In addition, having achieved grade 9 in Mathematics and A* with Distinction in Further Mathematics, I can say that I am very familiar with the GCSE Mathematics curriculum. I am fascinated by maths and my intention is to make my students love it as well.

(University of Cambridge, Mathematics) Online Mathematics Tutor
I’ve tutored countless students (well over the 50 mark) from all ranges: Year 7 to Bachelor- level inclusively - though the majority being A level, this is probably my favourite. I also have experience in preparing candidates for Oxbridge interviews and STEP and MAT exams. Most recently in Cambridge while at university, I used the FirstTutors website. My profile, which also includes very positive feedback from students, can be found here: Even now during the academic holidays, I have two students, one of which I tutor online. I’d really look forward to having more I encourage the use of WhatsApp between students and tutors, especially in the run-up to exams; I feel like this really helps. I genuinely care about my students doing well. I make myself approachable and friendly, and I encourage my students to feel comfortable asking me questions and voicing their concerns. I’ve maintained good relationships with all of my students/parents and can provide many references on request.

Maths and Science tutor online, school teacher and examiner based in London.
Tuition is offered in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Science (Combined and Additional). My clients have provided feedback on their results, including attendance at preferred schools (involving reasoning skills help), and a significant improvement in both grades and confidence. With my experience in rigorous training, I am an Examiner for a major board and relish the challenges of marking. This perspective is invaluable when preparing my students. I thoroughly enjoy assisting students in overcoming difficulties in their subjects. My goal is to identify and address any problems in their understanding to provide them with a stronger grasp of the topic at hand. Throughout my career, I have helped a wide range of students, from six-year-olds to mature students, with their after-school class placements. I offer support for BTEC, IGCSE, professional skills tests, IB, Pre-U, STEP and PAT tests required by Oxbridge. I also provide assistance to Looked After Children (LAC), those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL), and those who are home-schooled or have had to change schools. These students often face significant challenges in catching up with their studies.

Highly Successful GCSE Maths Tutor
I am a qualified Maths teacher currently lecturing in GCSE Maths and Aeronautical Engineering, with degrees in both Aerospace Engineering and Teaching. I am becoming very popular with ONLINE students; I have invested in all the specialist equipment necessary to deliver tuition online. I of course also offer traditional face to face tuition. Tutees tend to fall into the following 3 categories: - needing advanced help to reach full potential and achieve grade 7/8/9, - predicted a borderline pass or fail at school and needing help to secure a pass, - failed at first attempt and needing assistance with a retake. I have a proven track record with all of the above and have a huge stock of examining body approved resources and worksheets specific to individual topics in the syllabus. My teaching experience consists of many years spent teaching Maths as a college lecturer and personal tutor. November 2018 Foundation results: Grade 4 (foundation paper) ONLINE Grade 4 (foundation paper) Summer 2018 results: Grade 7 Grade 7 Grade 6 Grade 6 Grade 5 Grade 5 Grade 4 (foundation paper) Summer 2017 results: A* (still taking old style GCSE) Grade 8 Grade 5 Grade 4 (Foundation Paper) Tutoring Approach My usual approach for preparing a student to score as highly as possible in GCSE exams is to work together in attempting past paper after past paper. Doing this not only gets the student very familiar and experienced with what to expect in the exam but also flags up areas of weakness. These areas are then worked on specifically until full competence is shown. This means a typical lesson is made up of half general past paper, and half specific topic. Being a current serving GCSE Maths teacher, I have a wealth of up to date resources and curriculum/exam knowledge allowing me to focus tuition on exactly what is required to maximise results.
