I am currently in my final year of university, studying Politics at the University of East Anglia. With almost 3 years of experience of tutoring students aged from 7-17 years, ranging from different levels of schooling, such as primary to A-levels, I have had the privilege of using my qualifications and skills in creating an enjoyable environment that helps my students study English independently and to an advanced level.

My knowledge and understanding of English has advanced over the years. English is a skill that if nurtured properly, can benefit an individual to progress much further in life than their fellow peers. Language skills is an important aspect of life and being able to relay my knowledge to a younger generation, would be an absolute privilege.

I am also a firm believer that failure only occurs when you give up. I take pride in helping others, who help themselves and I also have faith that if a pupil puts their mind to something, they can achieve just about anything.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring, all ages, for over 2 1/2 years and I have a very successful background in leadership and guidance roles.

This includes: my participation on my secondary school council board, which lasted the entirety of my high school years (Years 7-11).

During my time at college, I stood as Student Governor, where I sat on a private governing board, advocating on behalf of 2000 students.

I have been Vice-president of the African- Caribbean Society (ACS), at my university.

I am hardworking, intuitive, determined and unprejudiced and I am I will bring my enthusiasm and leadership skills, to improve the quality of my students’ welfare and education.

I teach and nurture students on how to harness important skills (needed for real-life situations) such as; developing a high proficiency in English and creating an environment that is best for them to study independently. I also provide useful exam techniques and study skills to help prepare students for their future examinations. My resources are carefully selected to cater to each individual, so I can assess and isolate their weakest points and develop them in an engaging environment. Read less
