I have been studying philosophy and sociology since my A-Levels, throughout my undergraduate degree, which was a combined honours in philosophy and sociology. I continued my philosophical study into a master's degree and am looking forward to studying a PhD in philosophy in the coming months. I have also working in the university classroom as disability support for a variety of students throughout my university career, so I am more than able to support disabled students in their area of study. I am also able to teach study skills and the skills associated with my area of study such as critical thinking.

Since completing my PGCE at the University of Manchester in 2012, I worked in a Primary school for over 3 years which equipped me with a wealth of experience as a Good to Outstanding Class Teacher and also as a Subject Leader for Science and PE. I have also spent time as a Supply Teacher which enabled me to spend time with my family when needed but also gave me invaluable experience across all Primary year groups in a diverse range of schools. My teaching style is to create a positive and dynamic learning environment that enables children to thrive and succeed at what they do. I am experienced in SATs and 11+ examination preparation. My passions are Maths and SPAG. The children I teach make excellent progress and this is reflected in my consistently good results in the classroom.

I have graduated from mechanical and biomechanical engineering. I am experienced at Physics concepts and also maths and the tips which help you solve the problems fast and easy.

My recent roles have been more diverse after taking early retirement as head of Sixth Form at Ashton on Mersey 6th Form. In 2013 I helped to set up Manchester International Business College and achieved accreditation for undertaking ILM programmes to Level 7. Having mentored several candidates to ILM Diploma in management and Leadership at Level 5. My role here was to liaise with management on the progress of the candidates as their assessments were submitted. My final full time role was Head of Learning Sixth Form at Ashton on Mersey School, where I was responsible for curriculum development and developing an innovative learning environment for young adults. I taught academic subjects of Business, Accounting, financial accounting and General Studies as well as vocational BTEC National Business finance units. As a key part of my role I managed the education programmes for Manchester United FC in contributing to the development of young players education. I believe my role as Curriculum Manager of 14-19 business at South Trafford College where I was teaching ‘A’ level Business Studies, Accounting and BTEC National Diploma in Business vocational programmes at level 3, also teaching basic bookkeeping, introduction to accounting and AAT level 2 and 3. Has provided me with established experience to contribute fully to meeting the needs of the post. I currently have several independent students via an on-line business college guiding them to achieve the qualification of their choosing. Recently I guided a candidate to CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership success. Also managed to guide students to achieve the grades ranging from B to A* in the AQA AS/A2 Business and Accounting papers. I find this rewarding as this allows me to keep abreast of current educational issues and management standards as well as examiner requirements via regular CPD.

I studied Physiology and Pharmacology at University and went on to do a PGCE in Chemistry. I have a wide range of experience teaching A-level students to children in Primary schools. I am originally from Wales and now live in Bolton. I am a mother of two young children and am very passionate about teaching and delivering my lessons in a different way.

Thank you for visiting my profile. I’m a Primary Special Needs Educator with 3 years of experience working in mainstream schools. I have worked across all key stages and with a variety of needs including autism (including Pathological Demand Avoidance), ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and global development delay. I can work on curriculum subjects as well as fine motor skills, social skills, and memory. My students and I have had many significant successes, the most significant being when I helped a child become a fluent reader after only reading CVC words. Other successes include improvements in times tables, number ability, comprehension, and spelling skills. Above all the academic successes my students and I have had, I am well-liked by my students and they are always happy. I have worked across all key stages in a variety of schools and in some cases in two different key stages at the same time, providing support, teaching on a 1-to-1 basis, in group settings, and occasionally with whole classes. I have worked with children with a variety of needs including global developmental delay, Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Dyspraxia, and Dyslexia, but I am particularly passionate about working with students who have special needs and challenging behavior. I have been praised by my mentors and Vice Principal for my work in this area. In my current post, I have gained experience using PIVATs 5 and Klips through discussion and offering my input for planning lessons independently. During this time, I have also developed my ability to teach phonics and deliver phonics interventions, working with multiple phase groups at once using various resources such as Letters and Sounds and Read Write Inc. I have also developed my knowledge in various teaching methods such as modeling, touch counting, and Kagan strategies. Hello there! My name is Mark. I am a former primary school teacher with experience across all year groups, based predominantly in the northern areas of Manchester. As such, I am confident across all subjects across the primary curriculum, though my specialism is all things English-related. I will endeavour to create a lively yet focused learning experience for the student. I have a very laid-back, patient style, developed through my time working across a number of challenging environments. I understand the essence of building a strong rapport with the student, even before any learning has taken place. I am also an aspiring author, with four full-length manuscripts under my belt, and I am a stickler for good grammar and spelling (by the end of our time together, you'll love a good old subordinate clause).
