Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

Start with recap of math concepts, then work on selected application exercises. Preparation for exams: work out actual exam. papers.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

Plenty of experience with online teaching, one-to-one and also groups of students. For one-to-one sessions: I like to use a pen tablet both on my side and the student's side to exchange graphical information and/or math formulae that each one writes on the PC screen.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

All topics of the IB math program. Keeping up-to-date: by doing many exercises both with the student and for myself, and making use of the students books or material provided by their teacher.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

I talk direct with the parents as muich as possible at the start or at the end of a session. From time to time, I send a short written note about progress,.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

Summaries of highlights / learning points covered during a given lessons; also: sharing of summary notes thta I have developed about specific topics e.g. derivatives of functions, enumeration formulae, etc....

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

Work out the assignment with the student by providing hints and explanations. However, I let the student do mthe homework and wrtite the silutions in his/her own words.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

Important to check the behavior of the students: does he/she understand the explanations ? Is he/she attentive and concentrated ? Is he/she positive and forward looking to the class ? Then I mtry to adapt accordingly: rephrase explanation, work on boosting confidence (difficulty of exercises in line with capability of the student), slow down pace if necessary , ....
