I have seven years of teaching experience. I have worked with students from many different backgrounds, including students with special needs, English Language Learners, and gifted students. I am a licensed special educator, and I adapt my teaching style and methods to individual students' needs. I am extremely patient and believe that every student has the ability to learn when they have a teacher who is willing to do whatever it takes to teach them. I find it extremely important to connect with my students personally to help them feel invested and engaged in the lesson material. I employ a variety of learning modalities, including kinesthetic, visual, auditory, and tactile learning. If a student is struggling to grasp a complicated concept, I scaffold questions so that they come to an understanding on their own and retain it. Read less
