I have recently taken early retirement, having taught French, German (beginners to Advanced) and Italian (GCSE) for the past 30 years. My teaching has been in local comprehensive secondary schools, so I am used to teaching to all abilities. I have extensive knowledge of the UK exam system, GCSE, A level and IB and have successfully taught all levels. I am familiar with the specification of the exam boards and have access to useful and relevant materials, to deliver MFL tuition, tailor-made for the individual.
I have been doing private tuition for many years and can provide independent, verifiable references.
I would be happy to offer individual or small group tuition and it can be at my home or at the client's home.
I have full DBS clearance.

My teaching is very much tailor-made for the individual, depending on their specific needs. I endeavour to include all four attainment skills in my lessons - listening, speaking, reading and writing. I encourage students to read/listen for gist, in order to help them to navigate the demands of the GCSE and A level reading and listening papers.
